This is a private Hypnobabies® session that provides you and your Birth Partner with detailed information on using your Hypnobabies® "transition", "pushing" and "using hypnosis for medical procedures" techniques. The Home Study Advantage class also covers the role of the Hypno-Birth Partner in pregnancy and childbirth, and allows you to practice your hypnosis cues and techniques in a real Hypnobabies® Birthing Rehearsal. *Must complete the Hypnobabies® Home Study Course prior to scheduling .
Standard HSA ($150) includes a one-time class with me that typically lasts 1-2 hours. This class is always scheduled after you have completed the full home study course. It will include a birth rehearsal that covers using your tools through the different stages of birth, positions that compliment hypnosis and how to use your hypnosis in the moment for procedures (ie. saline lock, cervical check, etc.).
VIP HSA ($250) includes two bonus calls of 30 minutes each to go over questions you may have while you are working your way through the home study course, in addition to the birth rehearsal.
*Both options include access to me by text, email and Facebook throughout the course to ask questions and discuss topics.
my mission
What's in a name?
When I first chose my website name, it started out as a cute play on words with my new married name. I bought it years before my husband and I started planning our family, or before I became a bona fide birth junkie. As I began my journey into birthwork, it became very evident that my choice had been kismet. For me, I had an ideal birth that I daydreamed about constantly during both of my pregnancies. As with so many of my daydreams, my reality turned out to be somewhat different (you can read more on that in my birth stories!). I often ask women how they feel about birth plans, and continue the conversation by asking them how they would feel if things went differently than what they had outlined on paper. I ask because I want to dispel this belief that having a birth go differently than your ideal makes it any less of a beautiful birth story.
I want all pregnant women and families to know that it is not only ok, but also your right to have high expectations for your birth, and to put those expectations into a plan that you and your birth team can work towards. I want my students to know that I have high expectations of myself as a teacher and friend within the birth community. My classes aren't about teaching you a "right" way to give birth. As a teacher, my main goal is to provide you with the knowledge you need to go into your birthing experience feeling empowered to make the choices you will be faced with confidently. I want you to know the benefits and risks of the birthing options you could possibly be presented with, so that you can create the perfect birth for YOU…no matter what path that birth takes. Whether you are looking for a home birth, planned cesarean, natural hospital birth or anything in between, I would love to be a part of your journey!
